Web Associates LLC promotes no specific spiritual doctrine or religious creed – we respect the right of all entities living or inert to chart their own path to the divine. However, it does not escape our notice that in the uncountable set of dogmas that have held sway among the people of this planet across recorded time, there is a fair amount of duplicated work. From these recurring elements, one may, if one desires, distill an ethos. The resulting values – untethered to any particular tradition and theoretically universal – would not be discordant with our own.

We feel it is within our scope, then, to declare that our animating energies are empathy for the other, recognition of the unity of all life, and humble reverence for the awesome gift of conscious experience. Many creatures are capable of love, but the human capacities for cognition and invention are very possibly unique in the entire cosmos, making us no insignificant component of that vastness. To wield these tools of creation, endlessly amplified by the technologies those same tools fashion, is a glorious responsibility and the birthright of all humans – as is our right not to be bound by the creations of others, particularly those whose imaginations may be more limited than ours or whose motivations may not align with human flourishing.
